2010 Huntington Medal Award for Christof F. Boehringer

April 7, 2011 – On Wednesday, April 27th, the ANS will award the 2010 Huntington Medal to Professor Christof F. Boehringer. The Huntington Medal Award is conferred annually in honor of the late Archer M. Huntington in recognition of outstanding career contributions to numismatic scholarship.

Professor Christof F. Boehringer is one of Germany’s most famous numismatic scholars. Prof. Boehringer specializes in Hellenistic Coinage and aspects of Sicilian numismatics. In 1988, Prof. Boehringer was visiting scholar for the Eric P. Newman Graduate Summer Seminar in Numismatics at the ANS.
