October 31, 2013 – In June 2013 Richard G. Doty, senior numismatic curator at the Smithsonian’s National Museum died. He was a renowned specialist in American numismatics and acclaimed writer.
The Smithsonian has now instituted a donation fund in his honour. People are encouraged to donate in his memory money that will be used to purchase new coins for the collection. Nevertheless the donation of coins or entire collections are of course still welcome.

If you want to donate please go to the Smithsonian website.
