Joint 2013 meeting of Royal Numismatic and British Numismatic Society in York

March 14, 2013 – The Yorkshire Numismatic Society will host the 2013 joint meeting of the Royal Numismatic and the British Numismatic Societies at York Racecourse on 20 July 2013. Traditionally, this joint meeting is held in July in different parts of the country to encourage members normally unable to attend London meetings. The organisers have obtained many well-known speakers on topics bound to interest and inform all collectors and students.

The meeting is being held at the same venue as the York Stamp and Coin Fair so there will be plenty of opportunities for collectors to secure exciting acquisitions, meet colleagues, discuss finds and acquisitions in a friendly atmosphere, and enjoy the refreshments available in the buffet and bar. There will also be books on sale in the room with a great selection of new and fine used numismatic reference works.

The event is open to all and free! Take the chance to join one or all of these leading societies on the day and benefit from their programmes and publications.

Please come along – you will find a great programme and York has so much to offer for a few days vacation. Why not visit the Dales, Moors or Wolds?

Please register in advance by sending an email to Tony Abramson – nothing more is needed and this is a great assistance towards enabling us to make proper arrangements for the event.
