March 7, 2013 – The National Coin and Currency Convention, slated for November 21-24 at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare, located at 5440 North River Road, within two miles of Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, is almost sold out, according to Convention Chairman Patricia Foley, who said, “Our event, now in its 28th year, moved from St. Louis to Rosemont two years ago and both of our previous two shows at our new site have witnessed a sold out bourse area. We are fast approaching that again for 2013. Dealers who want to have a booth with us would be well advised to sign up sooner rather than later”.

She continued, “We’ll once again have a three session Lyn Knight auction focusing on collectable paper money. Lyn has held an official sale with us every year since our very first show at the Cervantes Convention Center in downtown St. Louis. Over the years his auctions have defined exactly where the market really is for the material that he features. We are fortunate to have the Knight firm on board as an integral part of our convention and affiliated bourse area”.

She added, “One of the popular features of the NCCC within the dealer community is that we offer our booth holders a $100 rebate after the event if they stay three or more nights under our sleeping room block at the Crowne Plaza. Our room rate is already a friendly $115. Coupled with the $100 rebate, it becomes a downright bargain. Although our sponsoring organization is the Professional Currency Dealers Association, our event is open to coin dealers, as well. It is an all numismatic event and features United States, world and ancient coins, as well as U.S. and foreign paper money. In fact, we especially welcome dealers from the coin side of the spectrum”.

Dealers interested in obtaining a bourse application should contact Bourse Chairman Kevin Foley via e-mail or by phone at (414) 807-0116.

Hotel reservations are available by calling the Crowne Plaza at (87) 337-5792 and asking for the $115 “National Coin and Currency Convention” rate. More information about the NCCC and its sponsoring organization, the Professional Currency Dealers Association, can be found on the PCDA website.
