New York International Numismatic Convention Announces Reduced Hotel Rates

June 20, 2013 – The New Your International Numismatic Convention, to be held January 4-12, 2014 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, located at 301 Park Avenue, between 49th and 50th Streets, has negotiated a special reduction in sleeping room rates from those previously contracted. Kevin Foley, Bourse Chairman for the long established New York City event, said, “I hope that our new lower rates at the Waldorf will make that facility even more attractive to our attendees. The Waldorf is one of the world’s finest and most luxurious hotel properties. I know that our participants will find a superior value in our new lower rate structure.”

NYINC attendees should call the Waldorf directly at (212) 355-3000 to make their reservations. Two different rates codes will apply, “NYQ” for rooms without breakfast included, or “NYX” for rooms that include two full breakfasts at the Waldorf’s Oscar’s Restaurant. The without breakfast accommodations and their rates are: Deluxe King/Queen, $279; Deluxe Double/Double, $279; Superior King, $309; Luxury Accommodation, $339; One Bedroom Suite, $369; Two Bedroom Suite, $849; Waldorf Towers, $429. Accommodations and rates including breakfast will be: Deluxe King/Queen, $309; Deluxe Double/Double, $309.

Auction lot viewing will open on Saturday, January 4, with the first auction session of the eight day auction schedule on Sunday, January 5. Auction sessions will be held each day through Sunday, January 12. The NYINC bourse will open for the Early Bird/Professional Preview from 12noon-7PM on Thursday, January 9. A $100 registration fee will apply. The regular public hours will be: Friday and Saturday, January 10-11, 10AM-7PM and Sunday, January 12, 10AM-3PM.
