August 1, 2013 – Aussie favourites comes together: the Australian kangaroo, koala and kookaburra are the most iconic of Australia’s fauna. For the second year, all three animals have been struck from 1/2oz 99.9% pure silver coins and brought to life in stunning colour, before being presented in a three-coin set with an illustrated shipper and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Issued as Australian legal tender, each coin’s obverse bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.

The final release in the cute Australian Bush Babies II 1/2oz Silver Proof Coin series depicts a native baby wombat. Despite its fearless nature, the wombat has a short-legged muscular frame, which causes him to move slowly.
Wombats are generally not seen, but leave ample evidence of their passage. The wombat has a backwards-facing pouch, so that while digging burrows, dirt does not spill over its young. This new coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965. Accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, the coin is housed in a display case and box-shipper portraying more stunning imagery.

Treasures of the World is a beautiful series of locket coins which showcases the world’s abundance of natural riches. This series follows on from the highly successful Treasures of Australia locket series.
The coin incorporates a transparent circular locket containing loose garnets. The locket is surrounded with a reverse design representing a European Alpine landscape, featuring a chalet and Milk Vetch leaves. The reverse also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and the inscriptions TREASURES OF THE WORLD and GARNET. The coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2013 year-date. The 2013 Young Collectors ‘Experience It!’ series features six coins, each portraying an outdoor sport or leisure activity in which Australian kids love to partake. Snorkelling is the second fun release. This sport is a popular recreational activity, providing fun and fitness to people of all ages, skill levels and gender. The previous release was about surfing, upcoming ones will be about skiing, horse riding, skateboarding and BMX riding.
The coin’s coloured reverse portrays a snorkeler with a camera amid a brightly coloured coral reef. The inscription SNORKELLING, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and the monetary denomination also appear in the design. Issued as Australian legal tender, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2013 year-date.

The Perth Mint and Australia Post present the fourth release in the adorable Bush Babies II Stamp and Coin Cover. The coin and stamp release for July both feature an adorable baby echidna. Native to Australia, the echidna is recognised by its spiky coat and rambling walk.
The coin’s reverse depicts an irresistible image capturing the innocence of the baby echidna. As well as The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the design features a ‘friendly’ Australian insect and delicately frosted representations of Australian bush flowers. The coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination and 2013 year-date. Affixed to the envelope is an official Australia Post $2.60 stamp. The stamp is postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity and official number.
