Nominations Open for Excellence in Currency Awards for Coins

July 9, 2015 – International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA) – in association with Currency News – will present four awards related to coins at The Coin Conference in Madrid, Spain in October.
Anyone may submit a nomination for an eligible coin project through the IACA website. To be eligible, nominated coins must have been issued during the two-year period from 1 August 2013 to 31 July 2015. Here you can make a nomination. Nominations close 7 August.

For 2015, IACA will present awards for:

Best New Circulating Coin or Series
A continuing circulating coin or series, not a limited issue

Best New Commemorative or Test Coin (New Category for 2015)
Circulating coins, the main purpose of which is to commemorate a special occasion or person. The coin must be legal tender and made available or issued to the public at face value.

Best Coin Innovation
A new idea or process that enhances the security, appearance or durability of circulating coins, as well as innovation in the distribution and recycling of coins, including policy initiatives. It may also include innovation in the distribution and recycling of circulating coins, including policy initiatives.

Best Public Education Campaign or Website (New Category for 2015)
Campaign programs that inform stakeholders, including the general public, on coins in a user-friendly format.

The winners of the 2015 awards will be announced at a special awards ceremony taking place at The Coin Conference in Madrid in October.
