Royal Dutch Mint issues a commemorative coin: 100 years Mint building

May 19, 2011 – The Royal Dutch Mint will issue a new 5-Euro and 10-Euro commemorative coin to celebrate the 100th anniversary of its Mint building. The First Strike will take place on 22 June 2011.

Netherlands – 5 Euro – Silver plated copper – 29 mm – 10,5 g – Circulation Quality – Mintage to be determinded.

The mintage of the coinage will be fixed on the basis of the quantity of coins sold. This will be set on 11 July 2011 at 12.00. The circulation coin packaged in coin card will be available at coin dealers only and will be equipped with an extra sleeve and magazine with an explanation of the 100 years of the Muntgebouw.
There will also be collectors’ issues in silver and gold proof. The mintage for silver is max 12,500 prices and for gold 3,500 pieces.
