Schuler’s Supervisory Board appoints new Managing Director

January 21, 2014 – At its meeting on Friday, January 10, 2014 the Supervisory Board of Schuler Pressen GmbH appointed a new Managing Director and Head of the Systems Division: Johannes Linden, currently still Managing Director of metal packaging specialist Mall + Herlan. The company is one of the leading manufacturers of machines for producing monobloc metal packaging products. The 44-year-old engineering graduate will join Schuler on March 1, 2014.

“We are delighted to have gained such an acclaimed expert in metal packaging as Johannes Linden,” states Schuler CEO Stefan Klebert. “His expertise will help strengthen our position in the field of packaging – a key segment for us with considerable potential.” The demand for metal packaging continues to grow around the world. Schuler offers a number of presses which can be used, for example, to produce aerosol and beverage cans.

On October 1, 2013, Schuler merged its eight Technology Fields into six Market Divisions. In addition to Systems, the divisions are Automotive, Hydraulic (including hydraulic forging equipment), Industry (blanking and forming systems, as well as mechanical forging equipment), Service and Automation. In addition to packaging machines, the Systems Division also includes minting presses, equipment for the manufacturing of laminations for electric motors, and the engineering and construction of dies.
