July 21, 2016 – The first follow-up training event of the West Midlands Money and Medals Network will be held on the 14th of September 2016 at the University of Warwick, hosted by the Department of Classics and Ancient History. The department’s Dr Stanley Ireland is co-ordinating this West Midlands numismatic network.
The training will be focused on the identification of Roman coinage with full details still to be confirmed. Once the programme of talks is finalised it will be circulated, until then put the date in your diaries!
Anyone working with Roman coins in West Midlands museums and public institutions is welcome to attend this free training event. It will help to hone skills for the aid of cataloguing coins in collections and dealing with public enquiries.
