December 12, 2013 – The new coin sets are on sale since 28 November 2013. The ordinary version includes the six coins in the Danish coin series. The coins are minted with several strokes and are thus more clearly embossed than the ordinary coins in circulation. The coin set is minted in a limited edition.

The medal – royal monograms
This set includes a medal in Nordic gold. The obverse of the medal shows the Royal Danish Mint’s mark, a heart, under a crown, while the reverse theme is royal monograms. This year’s medal shows the monogram used on some of the coins minted in the reign of King Frederik VIII from 1906-1912.

Proof Coin Set
The proof version also includes the six coins in the Danish coin series, dated 2013. Furthermore, it includes the same medal as the ordinary coin set, but minted in fine silver. The coins in the proof set are minted using at least three strokes with extremely well-polished dies on specially treated coin blanks in order to ensure their very fine quality. The proof coin set is minted in a limited edition. Some banks and coin dealers also accept orders.

Circulation coins 2013
Ordinary coins 2013 will be in circulation in spring 2014.

Coins Weekly also reported on the 2013 coin set for children.
