Final Japan Earthquake series

March 3, 2016 – Japan Mint has struck the coins of the fourth and last series under the Great East Japan Earthquake Reconstruction Project Commemorative Coin Program.

Japan / 10,000 yen / gold / 26mm / 15.6g / Mintage: 9,081.

The common side shows miracle pines and doves. The obverse of the gold coin features a bird with nature’s bounty, while the silver coin displays the Japanese archipelago shaking hands and cherry blossom on the obverse.

Japan 1,000 yen / silver / 40mm / 31.1g / Mintage: 34,184.

This legal tender 10,000 yen gold and 1,000 yen silver coins as part of the Great East Japan Earthquake reconstruction project, which has been designated as a national project. They are issued as the 4th series out of four under the Great East Japan Earthquake Reconstruction Project Commemorative Coin Program.
