The collector coins of the Presidents of Finland series will feature in the Finland 100 program celebrating the centennial of Finland’s independence in 2017. Communications Director Henna Karjalainen of Mint of Finland feels honored to be involved in the celebrations. “For our part, we will launch the anniversary celebrations with the Presidents of Finland series. We expect that the dignified theme will make the series popular among collectors,” Henna Karjalainen says.

The following coin scheduled for release in the series will pay tribute to President L. K. Relander.

Mint of Finland will mint the coins by virtue of a Decree of the Ministry of Finance. The coins will be minted at Mint of Finland’s factory in Vantaa. Proof-quality Presidents of Finland collector coins have been granted the Key Flag Label of the Association for Finnish Work.
