Rugby Men of Gold and golden Koalas: News from the Perth Mint in June

June 9, 2011 – A comprehensive list of new commemorative coins struck by the Perth Mint in June reached us recently.

After the unprecedented success of the previous series, Australian Sea Life II is launched. The first coin in this series depicts a Hawksbill Turtle which can be found in the coral reefs of northern Australia. Listed as endangered, the Hawksbill Turtle is beautifully portrayed on a 1/2oz silver proof coin.
