Restitution and Collecting in the Time of ISIS

February 18, 2016 – On March 1, 2016 Cardozo School of Law, NYC, will host a conference on “Rethinking Antiquities: Collecting in the Age of ISIS”. Experts and award-winning journalist Judith H. Dobrozynski will discuss problems related to the Middle East conflicts and collecting art.
The event is sponsored by Cardozo Law FASHION, ARTS, MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT (FAME) LAW CENTER and the Committee for Cultural Policy, Inc. and will take place on March 1, 2016 from 5 to 6:30 pm. It is free and open to the public. Reception to follow.

Join Moderator Judith H. Dobrzynski and a panel of experts for a lively discussion of practical solutions, ethical priorities, and law enforcement after the massive destruction of monuments and sites in the Syria and Iraq conflicts. A must-attend event for museums, art collectors, and dealers, and for all concerned with the preservation of cultural heritage.
