Spanish Mint issues coins for 2018 FIFA World Cup

March 30, 2017 – Once again, FIFA has invited the Royal Mint of Spain to participate in the official collector coin program of the next FIFA World Cup that will take place in Russia in 2018. For this event, the Mint issues one silver coin and one gold coin, both depicting the effigy of H.M. the King Felipe VI on the obverse. 

Spain / 100 Euros / Gold .999 / 6.75g / 23mm / Mintage: 3000.

The reverses of the coins show some undulating lines, resembling the Spanish flag, and a football in the middle, surrounded by a player in a four-step sequence from handling the ball to kicking it. 

On the bottom of the design, in addition to the Mintmark of the Royal Mint of Spain, the crowned M, the emblem of the Spanish national team is reproduced. 

These coins are exclusively distributed worldwide by MDM Münzhandelgesellschaft mbH.
